1. Direct tire pressure monitoring: Joint tire pressure monitoring device uses pressure sensors installed in each tire to measure tire pressure directly, and transmits pressure information from the inside of the tire to the central receiver module by wireless transmitter, and then displays the tire pressure data. When the tire pressure is too low or air leakage, the system will automatically alarm.
2. Indirect tire pressure monitoring: The principle of indirect tire pressure monitoring is that when the pressure of a tire decreases, the rolling radius of the wheel will be reduced by the weight of the vehicle, resulting in its speed faster than other wheels. The purpose of tire pressure monitoring is achieved by comparing the speed differences between tires. In fact, the indirect tire alarm system relies on calculating the rolling radius of the tire to monitor the pressure.
3. Tyre Intelligent Monitoring System (TPMS): It combines the advantages of the two systems mentioned above. It equips two diagonal tyres with direct sensors and a four-wheel indirect system. Compared with all direct systems, this hybrid system can reduce the cost and overcome the disadvantage that the indirect system can not detect multiple tires at the same time with low pressure. However, it still can not provide real-time data of the actual pressure in all four tires as the direct system does.
